Christmas mini-concert + World AIDS Day = A great day of singing!

As I mentioned earlier, I found out I could sing (still haven’t been kicked out) a Capella in med school. Today we performed in front of a big audience, first with the Med Choir, singing “Christmas Angel” and “Do You Hear What I Hear?”. The sopranos definitely wowed the audience big time…

Then we – the Auscultations – sang the two pieces that we worked on for a couple of months.

The first was “12 Days of Christmas Confusion”:

Version 1: (laughter by Tina)

Version 2: (better sound quality)

And then we sang our rendition of Imagine for World AIDS Day, followed by a big march to the SUB:

I think we not only made lots of noise, but also raised a bit of money too!

Overall, it was a great day!

On a side note, Tina has not seen the classic SNL short: Dick in a Box, so I asked her to preview it this morning before she came to our mini-concert. Some homework is required to appreciate our song in its entire glory.

She would not comment on her experience with said video as of now.
